Tour details Wieliczka Salt Mine

Basic information: Experience a unique 700-year-old salt mine. One of a kind underground, old world. Wieliczka salt mine surprises with amazing rock chambers, mysterious salt lakes, salt sculptures and breathtaking chapel of St Kinga. Travel 135 meters below ground level and explore 22 chambers carved in salt on a 2,2-kilometer tourist route with a guide. The tour starts with 350 steps downstairs and around 800 steps to climb during the whole trips. Please wear comfortable shoes. To exit the Salt Mine, there are mine lifts traveling up and down, one lift takes about 40 seconds and can take up to 10 people at a time.

Pick up: The tour starts every day from Krakow city center at a chosen place, all the available pick up places will be shown while booking the tour. English-speaking driver and/or tour leader will take you directly to the Mine, where one of the local tour guides speaking in the chosen language will take over. This unforgettable trip takes about 2.5 h underground.
